SIMPLY VAGUE STORES
Maker Takeover was an event that we organized where 10 pop-up shops occupied all of the vacant storefronts within The Shops at Worthington Place for 9 days. Throughout the takeover we had scheduled events aimed to attract shoppers to the mall. Special events included a free babysitting space for children, character visits, a moms night out, family photo sessions, wildlife center visit, face painting, balloon animals, and a one day shopping event with 50 makers spread throughout the entire mall.
Embrace handmade was a promotion for the nonprofit organization Ohio Creative Collective that gathered makers to exchange their handmade products in order to learn about each others small businesses. Click the images below to watch a news segment on the first Embrace Handmade maker exchange event.
