I am excited to cross Hofbrauhaus off my summer bucket list! Nate and I couldn't wait to visit as he was very interested in their beer selection and I have heard great things about their food. I have to say, Hofbrauhaus did not disappoint. I was worried about bringing Holden (our 2 year old) with us but he actually really enjoyed himself. On the night we visited there was live music, and a balloon guy (who was on stilts) that kept our little guy very entertained.
Nate tried several beers and enjoyed all of them but he decided that the Hefe Weizen was his favorite. He ordered the Hofbräuhaus Würstlplatte which included Grilled Bierwurst, Bratwurst, and Frankfurter. I had a Frankfurter with sauerkraut and decided to try the German potato salad. All were absolutely delicious. We also split an order of the Bier Cheese Fries and all three of us fought over them. Holden loved the Spatzle which seemed to be a German version of macaroni and cheese. We all left very happy and can't wait to return.
Hofbrauhaus is worth visiting if only just to explore. The giant 2 story restaurant is Modeled after the legendary 400 year old Hofbräuhaus in Munich and features a giant outdoor beer garden. They offer a lunch buffet Monday through Friday from 11am-2pm for only $11.99 per person. We'll definitely be back soon to check that out.
